Parent Involvement

Title I Parent Involvement

The Doniphan School District participates in the Title I federal funding program. It is the right of every parent to be involved in their child's education. Parents are encouraged to attend all parent meetings and activities, and to provide input into the school's programs to improve academic achievement.

The district coordinates numerous parent involvement activities including home visits and monthly family literacy nights, holds parent teacher conferences once each semester, provides a parent portal to the school's district database program, updates its district website, and implements the School Reach phone system to keep parents informed.

The Parent Involvement Program is reviewed annually by a committee which includes review of the Parent Compact and Parent Involvement BOE approved policy.
